Randy Maples (class of 1981), an outstanding football, basketball, and baseball athlete and Tyack Trophy recipient in 1981, who also had a distinguished football and baseball career at BC, after which he played two years in the minor leagues for the Philadelphia Phillies. He then became a special education teacher and coach for the Kern High School District.
